How to understand about Islam ?

1. Islam should be searched from two main sources: The Quran and the Sayings (Sunnah) of Muhammad (The prophet).Once we understand its concept we use our intelligent to think and rationalise its teaching and can have faithy in the religion to practice. The true religion can be found to have logical argument and then we can found the shorfall of other believes or religions...

2. Islam is the way of life. The way of life is being outlined by Islam to follow in this word in a very detail manner, as such no other religion have such a detail rules and guidance for the people that can follow. This matter regarding the proper guidance will only be known as we begin to be familiarise as to the teaching of The Quran dan Prophet Sayings (Sunnah) and other leaders of religous scholars in their fields.

3. We can be covered to a Muslim when we pledge (Shahadah) to acknowled Allah as God and to believe Muhammad as the Messenger of Allah.
A person needs to pronounce the below testimony with conviction and understanding its meaning:

I testify “La ilah illa Allah, Muhammad rasoolu Allah.”

The translation of which is:

“I testify that there is no true god (deity) but God (Allah), and that Muhammad is a Messenger (Prophet) of God.”

When someone pronounces the testimony with conviction, then he/she has become a Muslim. It can be done alone, but it is much better to be done with an adviser through the “Live Help” at top, so we may help you in pronouncing it right and to provide you with important resources for new Muslims.

- The first part of the testimony consists of the most important truth that God revealed to mankind: that there is nothing divine or worthy of being worshipped except for Almighty God. God states in the Holy Quran:

“We did not send the Messenger before you without revealing to him: ‘none has the right to be worshipped except I, therefore worship Me.’” (Quran 21:25)

This conveys that all forms of worship, whether it be praying, fasting, invoking, seeking refuge in, and offering an animal as sacrifice, must be directed to God and to God alone. Directing any form of worship to other than God (whether it be an angel, a messenger, Jesus, Muhammad, a saint, an idol, the sun, the moon, a tree) is seen as a contradiction to the fundamental message of Islam, and it is an unforgivable sin unless it is repented from before one dies. All forms of worship must be directed to God only.

The entire foundation of the Islamic religion rests upon the belief that there is only One God, and Muhammad is His final messenger.

4. Then one can learn the practice of Islam, such as the way we pray to Allah, to live in the limit that prescribed by the religion, specificallay to do good things and lated rewarded heavens in the life hereafter world.

5. To understand that God is Allah is important for any Muslim. We cannot see Gog using our prescence sight, but we believe God being the creator can see us and knows everything about us and everything else about the things being created, without exception, the past, the presence and the future.

He is the one you turn to in your hour of need. He is the one you thank when the miracles of this life become clear. Allah is a word that contains many layers of meaning. It is the name of God (the master of the universe) and it is the foundation of the religion of Islam. He is Allah, the One worthy of all worship.

“”He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth. How can He have children when He has no wife? He created all things and He is the All-Knower of everything. Such is Allah, your Lord! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Creator of all things. So worship Him (Alone), and He is the Trustee, Disposer of affairs, Guardian, over all things. No vision can grasp Him, but His Grasp is over all vision. He is the Most Subtle and Courteous, Well Acquainted with all things.” (Quran 6:101-103)

In the Arabic language, the word for God (Allah) comes from the verb ta’allaha (or ilaha), which means, “to be worshipped”. Thus, Allah means, the One, who deserves all worship. There are no capital letters in the Arabic language, consequently the word God (Allah) is formed by adding the equivalent to the English word the, al to the Arabic word for “god/God” (ilah). Therefore, the Arabic word “Allah” literally it means “The God.”

Allah is God, the Creator, and Sustainer of the world, Allah is unique. In the Arabic language, His name is unchangeable. Allah describes Himself to us in the Quran:

“Say (O Muhammad), He is Allah, (the) One. Allah-us-Samad (The Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, He neither eats nor drinks). He begets not, nor was He begotten; And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him.” (Quran 112)

This short chapter of the Quran is known as the chapter of purity, or sincerity. In just a few short words, it sums up the Islamic belief system; that Allah or God is One. He is alone in His majesty; He is alone in His omnipotence. He has no partners or associates. He was there in the beginning and He will be there in the end. God is One.

6. Quran is the main source of the Islam religion.

“(This is) a Book, which We have revealed unto you (O Muhammad) in order that you might lead humankind out of darkness into light (of belief in the Oneness of Allah)...” (Quran 14:1)

“And indeed, We have honoured the Children of Adam, and We have carried them on land and sea, have provided them with lawful good things, and have preferred them above many of those whom We have created with a marked preferment.” (Quran 17:70)

“And if We willed, We could surely take away that which We have revealed to you (i.e. this Quran). Then you would find no protector for you against Us in that respect.” (Quran 17:86)

“O humankind! If you are in doubt about the Resurrection, then verily We have created you (i.e. Adam) from dust...” (Quran 22:5)

“And your god is One God; there is none who has the right to be worshipped but He, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.” (Quran 2:163)
